are making the migration
or animals as
otters.
This
set of marshes
have been generated by the final course of the Muga and Fluvià. Wetlands once
occupied the entire coastal plain of the
Gulf of Roses and Lower Ter, but faded by the expansion of agriculture and livestock with drainage
waterways.

“ Aiguamolls the l’Empordà” is made up of 4500 hectares or more, of which there will about 150 hectares devoted to growing rice and made up of 700 hectares strictly protected.
Regarding the fauna can be found over 300 species, fauna that are found nesting birds, migratory
birds, wintering birds, fish,
reptiles and mammals, some of them protected,
the most common are the storks,
duck neck green, gray herons and coots, although
currently there are many otters.
